Bora Alçı, Business and Brand Growth Consultant

Studied Business Administration in Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey (1991).

After graduated in 1991, he started his professional career at Henkel’s Consumer Goods Division as an assistant product manager. He worked for Henkel for seven years and held various positions during that time: product manager on dishwashing detergents, product group manager on personal care category, strategic business unit manager on personal care unit. In 1997, He joined the strategic project management team of Danone Group’s Beverage Division. He held the responsibility of various international beverage projects including developing Akmina sparkling mineral water brand in Turkey. Then he joined Turkcell’s marketing team and worked to expand Turkcell brand in both national and international markets. Since 2002 he has been working as a consultant.

In 2006, he founded Argus Brand Consulting and Marketing Insight Company whose clients are mostly global companies and brands spanning FMCG, beverages, telecom, finance, automotive, retailing and energy. Some of his consulting clients are Unilever, Telia Sonera, E.on-Enerjisa, Coca-Cola, QNB Finansbank, Renault-Mais, Koton and Pepsi Lipton Intl. He led the team of experts in developing new generation marketing insight techniques: Mind-Decoder® (2003), a deep-dive techique to better understand consumers’ thought processes and unconscious purchase decisions; Innovation Clinic® (2006), a disruption technique to create out-of-the-box value propositions; and TEMP® (2011), a brand experience mapping technique to provide deep insights into designing of growth-driven brand experience strategies.

In 2018, he restructured his consulting firm to become Turkey’s first growth consulting company. He currently leads a team of growth strategists and marketing research experts at Argus Growth Agency.
