Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu was born on March 22, 1973, in Istanbul. After completing his education at Kadıköy Anadolu High School and Marmara University, where he studied English Business Administration, he joined the Unilever family in 1995. He began his career at Unilever as a Management Trainee in the sales function, followed by approximately 4 years of marketing experience. He then transitioned back to the sales side, where he held roles such as Commercial Marketing Manager and Customer Manager.
In 2006, he moved to Dubai for a 3-year expatriation and served as the Sales Manager for Modern Channels for all Gulf countries in the United Arab Emirates.
He returned to Turkey in 2009 and became the Customer Marketing Director for the Home Care Group. In late 2014, he assumed the role of Sales Director for Algida Turkey and held this position for 1.5 years.
Subsequently, he took on the role of Vice President of Sales for all Unilever products in Turkey. Starting from November 2021, he continued his role as President responsible for the Home Care category in Turkey, Central Asia, and Iran. In 2022, he was appointed as the Leader of the Home Care Category for Turkey and the Middle East as part of Unilever's global Compass Organization restructuring.
Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu has been successfully serving as the Leader of Home Care for the Middle East & Turkey since 2022. As of February 14, 2024, he was appointed as the Country President of Unilever Turkey. In his new role, Orhonoğlu will continue to serve as the President of Home Care for the Middle East & Turkey alongside his responsibilities as Country President of Unilever Turkey.
He is married and the father of 2 sons.
He is the recipient of the Sales Network 2019 Best of Sales Awards "Sales Leader of the Year" and the Sales Network 2021 Special Award.
