Biography

1998 graduate of Istanbul University’s Economics Department (English), Murat Yilmaz commenced his professional career as an Assistant Inspector at the Audit Board of Yapı Kredi Bank in the same year. After serving for six years at the Audit Board, he transitioned to the sales arena as a Branch Manager.

Within Yapı Kredi Bankası, he assumed various roles including Branch Manager, Field Manager, and Regional Manager. In 2014, he joined HSBC Turkey as the Branch Network Group Head. After actively participating in the major transformation conducted by HSBC Turkey in 2016, he has been working as the Group Head of Sales Management and Branch Network under the umbrella of Retail Banking and Wealth Management since 2017. In this role, he is responsible for the sales and operational activities of all retail branches, as well as Private Banking, Investment Center, ATM Management, and Salary Payments. He also serves in the Retail Banking Sales Management of HSBC EMEA Region.

Married with two chiuldren, Murat Yilmaz has an interest in running and tennis. He combines running with social responsibility projects and continues to collect donations, especially for children's causes on behalf of various NGOs each year.
