Hilal Şimşek Akkılınç was born in Tarsus in 1984. After graduating from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 2006, she started working full-time at DuPont, where she had previously completed a long-term internship.
During her time at DuPont from 2006 to 2019, she held roles in business development and sales, working in sectors such as safety garments, medical fabrics, construction materials, and defense industry. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the business development and marketing manager at HRD Antwerp, focusing on consumer awareness in the jewelry sector.
In 2022, she joined Hilti and currently serves as the Regional Sales Manager. Believing strongly in the importance of diversity in the workplace, Hilal Şimşek is the DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) representative within Hilti Turkey.
Her hobbies include exploring new places and reading about mythology.
