Biography

After graduating from Galatasaray High School, Hulusi Acar graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Business Administration in 1995 and worked in different positions at Turkish Airlines and Koçtaş.

In 2000, he joined Turkcell, where he worked in various positions from Sales Manager to Turkey Sales Manager until 2004.

Hulusi Acar worked as Assistant General Manager of Sales and Customer Relations at Astelit in Ukraine between 2004 and 2006.

In 2006, he returned to Turkcell and served as the Head of Individual Sales Department until 2009 and as the Assistant General Manager in charge of Individual Sales between 2009 and 2014.

After two years as Doğtaş Kelebek's General Manager, Acar was appointed as MediaMarkt Turkey Executive Board Member Responsible for Operations in March 2018.

Currently responsible for store operations, customer experience, and e-commerce functions at MediaMarkt, Acar leads the operational development process in line with the vision of unconditional customer satisfaction.

Born in 1972, Hulusi Acar is married with two children and is the recipient of the LiSA 2021 Leader of the Year award in the Retail Category.
