Nilgün Keleş, born in 1966, is the founding partner and chairman of the board of Sertrans Logistics.
She was graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages at Marmara University. Nilgun founded Sertrans Logistics in 1988 with her husband, Hakan Keleş. Sertrans Logistics has been a reliable solution partner for national and international customers for over 30 years, offering international partial and multimodal transportation services, as well as value-added logistics services in supply chain management.
As one of the first and few female executives in the Turkish logistics sector and having been at the helm of the company since its establishment, Nilgun served as the CEO of the company from 2008 and assumed the role of chairperson of the board in 2019.
Successfully managing the administration of 11 subsidiaries operating worldwide, Nilgun specializes in finance and budget management, investments, R&D, international transportation, e-commerce logistics, storage, and supply chain management, leading groundbreaking projects that shape the sector.
Under Nilgun's leadership, Sertrans Logistics has become one of the most important players in the industry, being the 'first and only Turkish company' to join significant international logistics networks like SystemAlliance Europe, thereby crowning the company's success.
Under her management, Sertrans Logistics, which has been growing steadily, was awarded the title of 'National Champion' at the European Business Awards (EBA) in 2015 and was selected as the 'Logistics Solutions Company of the Year' in 2016. Nilgun led the company's e-logistics investments, introducing e-logistics to the Turkish logistics sector.
Recognized as one of "Turkey's Most Powerful Fifty Businesswomen" by Fortune Turkey in 2021 and 2022 and awarded the Most Successful Businesswoman in the Logistics Sector by Dünya Newspaper, Nilgun is actively involved in civil society organizations. Currently, she serves as a Board Member of TGSD (Turkey Apparel Manufacturers Association) and chairs the TÜSİAD (Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association) E-Commerce Logistics Working Group. She has played roles in many civil society organizations such as KAGİDER Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey, KALDER Turkish Society for Quality, UND International Transporters' Association, and the Turkish-French Chamber of Commerce, becoming renowned for her activities in national and international working groups focusing on 'women's economic participation.' Nilgun Keleş has initiated projects supporting the education of girl students, besides her contributions to the work of the Equality in Business Platform and the Independent Women Directors initiative.
Describing art as one of the indispensable elements for the progress and development of a country, Nilgun has an extensive collection of works from various periods of Turkish painting.
A mother of two, Nilgun is fluent in French and proficient in English.
