Biography

Neslihan Nigiz Ulak graduated with high honors from Robert College and Bogazici University Business Administration Department. She also holds CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and Insead Women Leadership certificates. She has a total of 25 years of experience in B2C & B2B.

In 1999, she started her career at Unilever Turkey as a management trainee in the finance department within the Ice Cream category. Over the course of 19 years, she took on various roles and responsibilities in finance, supply chain, and sales departments. After the first five years in finance at Unilever, she was appointed to lead the S&OP project and established the demand planning department for UL Turkey. Later, she transitioned to sales, managing international customers and becoming the first female Sales Director at Unilever Turkey in 2010. After this role, in 2014, she took on an international role as the Global Sales Director for Unilever Food Solutions. In her last role at Unilever, she led the Modern Trade Channel of Unilever.

In April 2018, Ulak joined the Barry Callebaut family. As the first General Manager to lead Barry Callebaut, the world's largest chocolate and cocoa producer, in Turkiye, she took great pride in overseeing the growing investments and team. The A-Team, increasing customer numbers, and sustainable innovations led BC Turkey to significant achievements within four years. These successes resulted in the global "Passion Award" presented by CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique in 2020. The relaunch of the R&D facility in Eskişehir and the Istanbul Chocolate Academy also occurred during this period. She sat on the management board of the EEMEA Region and represented her region in the Barry Callebaut Diversity & Inclusion Council during her tenure.
She is currently the Chairperson of La Lorraine Turkiye,Caucasus and Central Asia. She was the ad-interim VP for the region for 2 years before taking the chair role.
As a multiple career person, In February 2022, Ulak also ventured into entrepreneurship and became the co-founder of Sobrinus Consulting and Training Inc.


Neslihan Nigiz Ulak has been actively working for over a decade to increase female employment and implement inclusive policies in the business world. As one of the founders of the digital platform "EVEN," aiming to provide equal opportunities for women and men in the consumer products sector, she contributes to this cause. She is a founding member and the current Chairperson of LEAD Network Türkiye. She is also a member of the BLCCT, Türk Üniversiteli Kadınlar Derneği, YANINDAYIZ Association, Sales Network, and Women in Sales platforms.
