Istanbul-born on July 18, 1978, he graduated from Izmir Private Turkish College Science High School, then completed his studies in Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2000. He began his career at Garanti Teknology and continued his professional journey at Petrol Ofisi A.Ş. During this period, he completed his MBA education at Izmir Economy University.
Following a short-term adventure in Australia, he started working at Pfizer Turkey. During his 6.5 years at Pfizer, he held various positions, including Commercial Relationships Manager, Regional Manager, Turkiye Sales Manager for Animal Health Products, and Department Manager for Commercial Relationships in Turkiye. He led the establishment of the "B2B central order management and inventory/outflow tracking" system, a first in the pharmaceutical industry, and played a crucial role in global projects like "Building Effective Retail Capabilities."
In September 2013, he joined the Reckitt Benckiser family as the Pharmacy Channel Sales Manager for Turkey. His critical interventions in creating the market entry model and competent teams significantly contributed to this channel's sustainable growth within the company and led RB Turkey to receive the "Best-In-Class Award" among Developing Countries in terms of OTC Capabilities.
In January 2018, he was appointed as Sales Director, undertaking responsibility for the Commercial Marketing Department along with the pharmacy, perfumery, discount retailers, modern and traditional channels served by RB Health’s pharmaceutical and personal care products portfolio.
Married and a father to a son named Tevfik Uraz, Esat Oguz is the recipient of the LiSA 2021 Leader of the Year award in the Health and Pharmaceutical Category.
