After graduating from Yıldız Technical University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and later completing an MBA at the same institution, Yenal Gokyildirim worked for 14 years at Philips Electronics. He achieved successful outcomes within the Istanbul, Dubai, Vienna, and Amsterdam organizations. In 2011, he returned to Turkey as the CEO of Dogan Online Group, the largest e-commerce platform in Turkey, which includes e-commerce, digital advertising, betting, and travel companies.
Following this pivotal phase in his career, during his tenure as the General Manager at LC Waikiki, he played a key role in transforming the fashion retail company, operating in 25 countries, into a globally recognized brand originating from Turkey.
Since 2015, he has taken on significant roles at MediaMarkt, based in Germany, serving as the Turkey CEO and also holding positions as a Global Board Member responsible for 12 different countries within the MediaMarktSaturn Holding Retail Group, as well as the Holding COO. During this period, he orchestrated customer-centric restructuring across all country organizations he led, spearheading the implementation of profitable growth strategies.
Gokyildirim has been instrumental in embedding customer-centricity and omnichannel retail concepts at the heart of the organization. Additionally, he serves as Co-Chairman of TUSIAD's Retail Working Group and is a member of YASED.
Yenal Gokyildirim is married and a father of a daughter.
